Christians & Coronavirus

As Christians, followers of Christ, we should believe His Word.

Psalm 91 tells us “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers. And under His wings you shall take refuge. His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall [c]bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Psalm 23 says “…though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me…”

Christians are making fun of and criticizing and condemning other believers for standing on the Word of God.
This is preposterous. But the Bible also says this will happen.

There are Christians making fun of preachers, because those preachers stand up and declare God’s Word and command the enemy to bow to the name of Jesus.
Didn’t Jesus tell us “every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord?” (Philippians 2:9-11, Romans 14:11, Revelation 5:13)
There are Christians putting down preachers, because those preachers continue to stand on their faith and continue to have church.
Doesn’t God’s Word tell us “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand?” (Romans 6:13-16)

I believe this is part of what the Bible prophesied-
Jesus told us we would be hated and persecuted for His name. (Matthew 5:11, Matthew 10:22)
People would “have a form of godliness, but deny its power.” (2 Timothy 3:5)
“Brother will turn against brother.” (Mattew 24:7, 10)

One “popular trend” I am seeing going around now is “You’re not stuck at home. You’re safe at home.”

I believe this is deception at its finest.

This is the devil “as an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)

He is trying to stop believers from doing what they are called to do: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

This is the devil trying to stop true believers from “laying hands on the sick, and seeing them recover.” (Mark 16:18)

This also goes along with
“For men will be lovers of themselves…” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
“The love of many will grow cold…” (Matthew 24:12)

People, non-Christians and even Christians, will make you feel stupid for believing God and standing on His Word. We must, as true believers, continue to stand on our faith! Jesus said we will be persecuted for our faith, and “even as they hated me, they will hate you.” (Matthew 5:11, Matthew 10:22)

I do understand that we are living in a wonderful time. We do have access to the internet to be able to reach people all over the world with the Gospel. But, we cannot sit back in our comfortable chairs, and think that we are actually doing our part, just by clicking a few buttons and reposting something on social media. We must actually GO!

I also understand that the Bible says to “obey the laws of the land.” (Romans 13:1, 1 Peter 2:13-17)

I also follow my pastor, the person God has put over me to shepherd me. We are still having church, but there is more online, and we have service, but it is like a drive-in. Everyone stays in their cars and watches the screen and listens to the service on their radios. It’s wonderful!

We are watching prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes. I know God has put into motion things for these end times.

I also believe “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
I know if we as believers come together and obey God and His Word and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit, God will do mighty and wonderful things in these last days!
